P.A.B. is certified for BRCGS Storage and Distribution standard since 2022. Achieving the certification was strongly wanted by senior management, which has always considered Quality as a fundamental factor for the company strategy. The Quality Management System has therefore been aligned with the requirements of the BRCGS Storage and Distribution standard, aiming to continuous improvement and ensuring high quality and safety standards of the products offered.
The BRCGS Storage and Distribution certification of P.A.B. covers all the main company processes: purchase, storage and resale of ingredients, additives and process aids, food contact materials, equipment, instruments and sanitisers intended for the brewing sector. The marginal activity of repackaging ingredients and transport service, entrusted to third parties, are excluded from the scope of certification.
P.A.B. is certified for the storage and distribution of organic products since 2013: malt, hops and natural essences.
Organic production is a global system of management for agricultural companies and food production based on the interaction between the best environmental practices, a high level of biodiversity, the protection of natural resources, the application of rigorous criteria regarding animal welfare and production suited to the preferences of certain consumers for products obtained with natural substances and processes.
In 2023 P.A.B. has achieved ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, integrating the requirements of the ISO standards into its QHSE Management System. Senior Management considers the principles of health and safety and environmental sustainability to be fundamental. Over the years, this values have regularly accompanied the other assumptions underlying company operations: customer satisfaction, compliance with applicable regulations, continuous improvement and offering compliant, safe and quality products.
ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard that sets the requirements of an environmental management system. It involves the implementation of an environmental analysis to define the environmental aspects with significant impact for the specific company process, the definition of environmental responsibilities and the implementation of monitoring and continuous improvement measures.
ISO 45001 sets the requirements for health and safety management system, to allow the company to provide a safe and healthy workplace for its employees, preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as proactively improving its health-related performances.
