Dark and less fermentable than Light, gives a full-bodied character and a malt flavour to beer.
Ideal for brewing with extracts or mini-mash method. It can also be used as a grain malt substitute (1 kg of dry extract corresponds to 1.6 kg of grain malt) or as a sugar substitute with prepared malts. It can be easily measured out and what is not used can be kept for a long time.
A recommended use, in packages of prepared malt (hopped), is to replace the required sugar with 50% malt extract powder (500 g. malt + 500 g. sugar); or add 1 kg of malt extract powder plus 50% of the recommended sugar, you will obtain an increase in the malt taste and a better foam retention.
