Tetra Iso is an aqueous alkaline solution of the potassium salts of tetrahydro-iso-α-acids.
It is produced from CO2 hops extract using a patented all aqueous process.
Tetra Iso enhances beer foam when used as a post-fermentation replacement for a part of the normal bittering.
In the absence of normal α-acids and iso-α-acids, Tetra Iso will give complete protection from the formation of lightstruck flavour. Furthermore, it will act as an antimicrobial agent when added to beer.

Usage:
- Add the product post-fermentation and before filtration. The use of tetra-iso-α-acids is between 60 and 80%.
- Add the product in a phase in which the beer is subject to turbulent motions, to ensure uniform distribution throughout the treated volume.
- Avoid high concentrations of the product in a small volume of beer. The bitterness imparted by the reduced iso-α-acids of Tetra Iso can have a perception from 1.0 to 1.3 times greater than that of normal iso-α-acids.
- Consult the technical data sheet for more information about the dosage for bitter values.
- To improve the foam, add a quantity of Tetra Iso such as to give a maximum of 2 - 3mg/l of tetrahydro-iso-α-acids.
- Reduce the bitterness given during boiling process in the same measure of the bitterness given by the addition of Tetra Iso.
