Annual herbaceous plant native to Asian south-east, Chamomile is common in uncultivated places, especially in towns. The plant has a very distinctive smell which helps to distinguish it from other very similar plants. The parts used are the flower heads. Great for use it with Wit, Wheat and Saison.
Aromatic herbs are used to brew Belgian Bière Blanche, Grand Cru, Tripples and Christmas Beers. They are usually added in the last 15 minutes of boil. In ancient times herbs were used to extend beer's storage time.
