A low ester producing strain, known for quick fermentations and a neutral flavor and aroma profile similar to WLP001 California Ale Yeast®.
Due to its high attenuation, WLP090 San Diego Super Ale Yeast produces very dry beers with increased perceived bitterness. It also has a high alcohol tolerance, making it suitable for a variety of styles and beverages from double IPAs to barleywines, ciders, and mead. This is an excellent all-purpose strain, ideal for breweries that produce hop-forward beers.
